Abstract
In this paper an attempt of determining the aberration coefficients of Fourier hologram is made taking account of the fact that both recording and reconstruction of this type holograms involve the action of a phase element (a lens). For this purpose the optical path traveled by the light beam should be analysed between the focal planes of a thin lens. Next, the coordinates of the reconstructed image were determined. Finally, the aberration coefficients of the images reconstructed from the hologram were determined. The conditions for correcting the spherical aberration have been discussed.
